As you can see from the table, Lebanon has no GMs, and no active IMs in the top 30 players. All in all, our active titled players are 8 players. 

There are a lot of reasons to this, and no obvious way out. Until someone who is passionate about the game extends his/her hand and embrace chess in Lebanon, we are far away from achieving anything.

Promising Juniors

Many young players show talent. From the age of 6 to the age of 14, some Lebanese players have good potentials that need to be directed in the right way. 

With the stop of Over The Board Tournaments, we are waiting for the Lebanese Championship to find out who are our young promising juniors.
